    Re: Classroom booking software

That looks like the best solution to the problem so once I've set which week is which then I just add the time table in once.

Yep, all you do is enter the period, week, day and teacher into the database once for your timetable and that is it. I'm working on creating a form in Access to add these easily.

    Re: Classroom booking software

    Hello,

I use www.roombookingsystem.co.uk in my school.

    It handles Bi-Weekly timetables.
you can enter in the holidays so it shifts the correct weeks about,
it only displays the free rooms and in a timetable view,
change one option in the admin panel to make all new bookings provisional so an administrator has to check them,
can set it up so teachers can only book x weeks/months in advance,
    its perfect!

Hi jazzy639, are you on commission from roombookingsystem or do you just work for them?

Hi Ben thanks for the link. I've managed to get to the install page, but the install button doesn't work... Any ideas? Cheers, Ted

    Hi Webman,

Hows the development coming along? Just looking at what products are out there.... Yours seems ideal..

Would love to be able to give it a go.

looks nice and shiny but lacking of certain crutial features when comparing to mrbs

p.s I have it installed on a subdomain you can have a nosey through if you want (im not even remotly intrested in it, in its current state)

    http://bookit.ashlawn.org.uk <- CRBS system (cr8p, buggy, horrible)
http://booking.ashlawn.org.uk <- MRBS system (lovelys, appart from showing everyone the details (but i can sort that))

will give you the test logons for the crbs in private message. if you like.

Oh bugger didn't relize it was your baby, theres only a few features it misses and then it would be the dogs.

Unfortunatly despite all the nice shinyness and extra features, it just lacks one or two of the deal breakers (purely display/sorting/repeating options) (for me at least).

would be happy to send you what i think its missing if you like and some of the fixes/bugs i found

Feel free to post suggestions/issues on the tracking page. As you can see from that list, there are lots of improvements in the pipeline.

webman: is there any ETA on V2? I really like that layout but would need to use it on Windows with AD integration.
I don't need any fantastic features, it would only be a weeekly timetable, with 2 or 3 rooms, is there a win32 version of v2 i could use and test or is it still in production?
    cheers

    Mike
