10th May 2009, 02:51 PM #1 converting smart 10 docs to smart 9
been asked if theres a way to get a smart 10 document to open with smart 9, or if theres a way of converting it.
Not sure if its allowed, but the content she wants is at Smart Interactive Whiteboard Resources
Can anyone convert it for me or let me know a way? Thanks

10th May 2009, 03:39 PM #2 There's probebley an reason why this hasnt been done, but I prefer the 100% effective 2 step route.
1) Uninstall Smart 9
2) Install smart 10
Once done it seams to open 100% of smart 10 files.

11th May 2009, 11:21 AM #4 Can't you just install the V10 notebook software only (you can do this with v9 so I suppose its still there in v10) on a laptop etc and then just load it up and save as a previous version? Same as you, not gone down the v10 route as of yet so can't confirm my suggestion.

11th May 2009, 11:24 AM #5 The install process for v10 is actually quite painless.
The admin toolkit creates a nice customised installation for you with rolls out easily via GPO.
Well worth the upgrade I think, teachers love the new version.

11th May 2009, 11:28 AM #6 Just noticed that you can download the notebook software only without having to bother installing the drivers etc.
As far as installing the v10 software, I'll do it if I'm instructed to do so or at a point the teachers can show me thay are using v9.7 to its full potential. No point in giving them more features if they don't use the ones they already have at the moment.
