This has always been a major problem with these devices so much so the teachers dont bother using them

have you installed directly into OS X? If you have access to a set of activote systems (and the time), could you check the issues i mentioned in my first post?

Sorry, I don't think I explained it well, but with the Expressions, you should just need toi register them to the hub, and then plug the hub into any computer, and the software (Inspire) will pick up all the devices registered to the 2.4GHz hub without the need to re - register any devices.

One other thing just to point out, if you are using Inspire / Expressions, there is a new hub firmware availible through Activmanager (I recently put a guide on our KB about how to do it - article id 10359uk) - this fixes some problems with device 'order' on your hub - however don't update if you are not using Inspire (that is the official stance at the moment, but still seems to work fine with Expression / Studio / Primary for me!)

    Deploying Inspire

We've reviewed the software - the newest Inspire release looks very promising. The interface is more intuitive, ActivExpressions no longer require the separate software piece, Primary is part of the same install.

We've been working on a deployment (msi - network) and now need to customize the install for our staff. Anyone have any thoughts on how to deploy a customized profile (toolbar, linked URLs, and proxy settings) to a group of end users?
