Not sure if this has been mentioned before. We have the latest version of Macromedia suite on around 40 machines. It was part of a RIS image deployed to these rooms. Problems is that on random machines the student cannot create a file then save it to their home areas. But if they open a existing file they can edit it and resave it.
This happens randomly and not always on the same machine, some machines work one week then dont for the same user the next.
Any one had this problem?

Re: Fireworks problems
When you say they can't save what happens.
Is the network drive not visible?
What is the default path shown when a student tries to save a file?
What errors do they get.

Have you looked into the possibility of the user profiles becoming corrupt this would give a reason as to the randomness of the machines. next time the users login and try to use the fireworks app monitor which students have problems then assimilate one of those users. It may not be this but it is something to go on ok.
