    I'm looking for a Freeware programme to open a file with a DWG extension? MS search suggests AutoDesk or AutoCad.

    The Autodesk DWF viewer is free for viewing Autodesk Drawings. You can DL the installer here.

    A more robust viewer

    Autodesk also offers a more robust viewer which is called Inventor View.

    This is a much larger program, around 256 MB, I had to find it through the forums since I didn't find what I wanted through google.
