Question

Bump!

I too am having problems with GE. Several previously happy machines now refuse to run the DirectX version and I've tried all the recommendations re updating drivers. I've tried alternative video cards too.

Any further clues?

GE 5 seems to work on the afflicted machine. So that's that then.
