You could try using:
Install Extractor (inc Installshield) - freeware
It has helped me extract lots of installers over the years. Just right click the exe and try a extract to subfolder.

when you run the exe setup does it not dump a copy of the msi in %temp% while its running. Could copy it from there?

i was going to say what rabbie did, when you run the exe, it should create the files in the %temp% dir which you can go into (while keeping the setup.exe open) and get the msi from there. if you close the setup.exe first, it deletes the files from the temp folder
**ok ignore me, you already replied**
Is it not in any of the subfolders?
You could try name.exe /? and see if it has its own Administrative Install switch.
I dont know if you can use the Windows Command Prompt to extract EXE's as you can with the Microsoft Service Packs...

i just ran the setup and it extracted it to
c:\documents and settings\rabbieburns\local settings\temp\{7C0DC38C-DAB0-4AA1-A122-9DD958E8D083}
Not sure if the string will be the same

You can also download an admin version from Smart themselves which ready to roll out as it is already and msi

Run the setup program with /a switch. Will extract all the file you need to your specified directory.
