smart NoteBook 10
Morning People,
To give you some intel:- A few weeks a go I was asked by our Dept Head to Install Smart Notebook 10, on all of the machines in school for Students and Staff to use. (As you can imagine I was not the most chuffed person)
Anyway, I installed the software manually, over 2 days, onto all workstation in school.
The software has been working well for many weeks now with no glitches, I never heard a thing back about the software, which in most cases, no news is good news, isn't it?
Well I had a call this morning saying that Smart Notebook was showing a pop up when the program was launched, saying that it was not registered? I'm sure I registered the program when I installed it.
After a bit of sneaky detective work, I found that the program was registered, and it was actually a Customer Satisfaction Survey that was popping up.
My question to you is, how can I stop this happening centrally as I do not wish to go round all the computers and click "No" manually. To make it worse, the pop up comes up for every user that loggs on, the survey is not per machine its per user!!

Well as soon I get a response from the support call Money I will put you out of your misery and post the solution here, the tech guy seems to think its a regsitry key that needs changing / adding.

8th December 2008, 08:35 PM #5 In the first release of the software the 'admin' MST creator had an option to turn this off.
Unfortunately this was omitted in the SP1 release.
If you have an answer it would be much appreciated!
As a side note, the SP1 version is better as it can install the resources from a network drive, rather than downloading them all every time the product is installed.
I didn't rate the Tools SP1 in the same way though, as It caused an installer error every time Office 2007 started.

Sorry guys, but as yet smart don't have a solution.
To make things worse, today a room of workstation has stated to display that the trial period has ended even though when I installed the software, I made a point of making sure it was registered.
Any Ideas?
