Two teachers have reported in the last couple of days that the SMART icon disappears from their taskbar shortly after booting and logging in. Not so much of a problem as they can relaunch the program but it is a bit of a hassle.

However, as I look through the windows event viewer I see that in the last couple of days on both machines, after boot, the SMART software is trying to reinstall itself but fails as it can't find the source. It goes through a few cycles and gives up. It appears that the task bar icon's disappearance coincides with the install effort. Bizarrely the Gallery reports a successful install.

I could trying reinstalling later, but just wondered if anyone had come across this or have a stab at why it keeps doing this?
