Anyone else using this across a network? It runs fine on 2K but not on XP. Have tried the obvious (Firewall off etc) but to no avail. (Think it may be a Flash issue :< as usual!!)

Wish these companies would write and test their software properly rather than keep selling years after OSs and plug-ins have developed to the point were they no longer work.

If another company we have handed cash to tells me I need to install an older version of Flash/Quicktime/Media Player etc, before their software will work, and they have no intention of rewriting it to take account of developments ................ I will do someone a mischief!!!!

This is the same issue as we have with Nelson Thorne Scientifica ... their answer is to tell you to set your security settings on your local machines to allow any and every script to run.

They got confused when I said that this may not be a good idea because any malicious script that managed to get onto the local machines would be allowed to run.

They have no answer as yet and iw ould be interested to hear if you get one.

Is this the same permission problem you can get round by dumping the files into a basic IIS site?

One of the Scientifica programs is a java based package the requires a serious amount of rework to try to get it to work. The other disc, basically a bunch of powerpoint presentations, will work fine from a basic IIS site but the problem is that you are not licensed to do it ... and Nelson Thorne have only allowed us to do it unofficially but only on a password protection section of our site.
