Default Microsoft SLK SCORM content

Hello

I am currently playing with Sharepoint and SLK. We also have various SCORM resources such as Birchfield etc.

What I have noticed with the SLK is that SCORM assignments have to be allocated to students for them to open. Is it possible to mark all assignments available to everybody and for them to simply click on them in a document library to open.

The birchfield resources are a good tool for independant learners are not worksheets, questions etc so I really only want students to search for a keyword and to be able to open the resources.

It is similar I suppose to members of staff, how do they know what is included in the scorm excercise before they allocate it?

All I really want to be able to is for a member of staff / student to be able to click on a SCORM resource in a document library and for it to open. Is their any specific html coding we could use to do this or is it not possible? In theory it sounds easy, but I have the feeling its not going to be....

Thanks

Sylv3r,
Have a look at the webparts that came in the Learning Gateway refresh - Learning Gateway - Home.

There are 2 webparts in there for SCORM uploading and searching.

When you upload the scorm file with the upload webpart is looks at teh imsmanifest file in the zip file for all the neccessary information and stores it in custom file types.

The search tool will then look at all the imsmanifest files for the what you are looking for.

The search results will of cource give you the resources you are looking for - you have to have your imsmanifest files up to date but you can add them individual into the custom content fields.

When you see the list of results it has a direct button to open the scorm file in SLK

I hope this answers your question

A.
