Hi all
I am just going through my licence file and wondered what other schools do with their old licences - do you keep them etc or bin them? For example I have my licences for Microsoft Office 97 but now use Office 2007. These are not upgrade licences etc so do people keep them still or just get rid of them?
Thanks

11th September 2008, 09:09 PM #2 Depends on the age of them, and whether they are still eligigable for upgrades or not. A Windows 98 license entitles you to use XP upgrade editions for instance.
Anything really old could probably be disposed of (Shredding them is best) but I take a PDF scan of any documents before I dispose of them, and archive them on 2 CD copies just incase; in many cases it's the information on the documents and not the documents themselves that are important.
Mike.
