Is anyone still using the ICT KS3 online tests now they are not compulsory

I would agree. I fail to understand what they test
With that 'home made' interface, it's like taking
your driving test on a bycycle and using that performance
as a guide to your driving ability

Well thats point not meant to be testing ability to use word it is testing ability to use skills associated with word processing that is what ks3 ict is about..

We did up until last year, but discussions I have had with the new head of ICT means we won't be continuing this year.

ALAN always gets stick as well as the KS3. Why does nobody slag off the Assett Languages stuff? ALAN is perfect compared to that!
