Eclipse 2 Permissions Problems
I recently started a new role, and have come accross some problems with eclipse 2, which was installed before i started (and apparenty worked).I wonder if i could pick a few brains on here that have xperience with it.
The program runs fine for Domain Admins/Staff, and the students have appropriate permissions to the shares (i believe) but they get "ActiveX component can't create object" when staring the Search Star application?
any thoguhts would be appreciated

old thread but has anyone else had this problem or found the fix for it?
I have Everyone - Full Access on the local C: drive and on the Eclipse share/folder on the server. Run as admin and it's fine, as teacher/student and we get the message above about Active X components.
Anyone got any clues has to how I fix this?

Do you need to configure IE to trust scripts and Active X components being run from the server share?
In IE6 at least, it's in Internet Options, Security, Trusted sites. Add your share (or *.yourlocaldomain.tld if you're brave!). Does that work?
