Is that pro engineer got from DT teachers doing a DATA course?

If so you are licenced to use it in school as long as you have a teacher that has done the training, you can train a tech to do it as well but if the teacher leaves you can't carry on until another one passes.

Plexer - Thanks, I got that bit -

But I'm more interested on how people manage licenses - does everyone get individual licenses for each machine, or a license server? - what about when you image machines? do you go through it again?

Has anyone got any clever ideas - I'm thinking about getting all the licenses emailed to me and keeping them, maybe even a clever little script to import each one to each machine.? (Licenses are MAC based)

The info just says you are licensed to install it on upto 300 seats and have 300 use at home for students, you can make 10 copies of the media for installations and all home installs have to be removed when the student leaves.

Have the copies in the library, but before they can be issued a letter needs to be completed from the parent saying 'we will remove it on [student x] leaving the school'. Failure to return the CD means they have to pay for a replacement at £10 (admin costs for chasing the student down, recopying the CD, etc)

It was pretty much a case of registering each PC's mac with PTC and keeping the keys in a text file for later use - this isnt too bad as we only use it on ~25 machines but obviously it's not practical at all for larger installations.
