Default music box

Anyone use music box 2? Just installed it on my new hp laptops, it works but when you start the program up it minimises itself and takes about 2 minutes to burst into life.

It's installed at the school I am at today, but doesn't get used much.

It seem to be happiest at a low screen res, 800X600 for full screen. It's on XP Dell 520's and doesn't load as you describe. Vista Laptops you have there by any chance are they?

They were vista - downgraded to xp using hp supplied downgrade disks. I've just updated the sound drivers and ticked the box in options for fast graphics card and changed screen resolution to 800 600- no difference! It starts eventually and works, but no idea why it pauses for so long. I've filled a request form in on the company's website so will wait for their response.

You don't happen to have dlk literacy as well do you - that won't start at all which makes me wonder if it's sound related but nothing I've done for that has helped.

We have it here and it seems okay - it crashes every time you try and use Tutor to demo it to the class, which is a drag, but other than that, no real issues.

Default Music Box 2

I represent the publisher of Music Box 2, Topologika. If you would like to post this enquiry via our web site (Topologika Educational software for children and adults at school, at home, in the UK or overseas) we'll be glad to help. Go to Product Support, choose Music Box 2, and complete the form. I'm pretty sure we've come across this one before and so we should be able to sort you out. Please be advised that proof of purchase will be required (i.e. that we can find you on our databsae or you can provide a copy invoice). Thanks.

Most of the schools I attend have moved away from Music Box now and have started to use 2Simple Music instead, This seems to be to be a very good, easy to use piece of software, as of yet I have not had any problems with it at all.

Default Music Box 2

Music Box 2 won the Gold Award at BETT in 1994 (Acorn version) and we're immensely pleased that the Windows version is still going strong 14 years later. PS: You should take a look at our Words & Music pack (Words & Music)
which does everything both those products do - plus lyrics and more!

Default Music Box 2 and MSIs

Topologika was one of the first companies to supply MSIs and we do not charge extra for them. Anyone ordering a site licence can request the CD be an MSI version. Thanks for your enquiry. In future please direct such sales enquiries via sales@topologika.com or you will get me thrown off this site!
