after installing the Smartboard Software and then installing the Gallery software -
The gallery when first launched ask what content you want to download, you choose then it goes onto the Internet and downloads.
Is there a way to download all the gallery and load it on to the laptop, or is there a gallery install file.
How does this work or how do you do it?

Not at my desk at the moment so can't give you the full details, but you can get a full download of the entire gallery and then install it on your network (somewhere with Read Access for all the relevant users), then you can apply a Reg hack on Logon (via Active Directory) that will point each installed copy of the Smartboard Software to look for the gallery at the path you installed it on the network.
Have a nosey on their website. I'm sure the msi packages are there.

28th April 2008, 08:00 PM #5 Just reading this thread.
Is it possible to deploy this via AD?

28th April 2008, 08:08 PM #6 Install the gallery to a share on a server & point the PCs to it's location. Much quicker and easier to update.
Then apply this .reg file - [ change the R:\\ blah blah to where you have installed the gallery ]
Code:
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\SMART Technologies Inc.\Gallery\TeamContent\gallery.smarttech.com]
"ImsManifestXml"="R:\\SMART\\Essentials for Educators\\imsmanifest.xml"

23rd May 2008, 11:59 AM #8 There doesn't appear to be an offline installation for version 10. Do you think that the 9.7 version above is the current gallery?

We just have to guess it is.
Check out other threads about V10 and just leave it alone until things get sorted!

This is a run around until Smart Tech get the Network Gallery deploy resolved in their installer.
If you really need to get this work there is a way to get the Gallery installed.
Make a full installation and either download all the gallery items from the internet or use the Essentials DL link provided above.
Verify you have all the Essentials Gallery items in Notebook.
Copy the Folder Essentials for Educators from
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\SMART Technologies\
To a network location
And use batch file or script to copy this Folder to the same folder on any machine you load SmartNotebook 10. It will populate that machine with all those Gallery Items.
