    RANDBETWEEN in MS Excel

Ok, in excel 2003 can anyone tell me why the function RANDBETWEEN doesn't work?

I'm cutting and pasting from the help example into the spreadsheet and even that won't work. All I get is #NAME? in the cell. :x

Oh, and I installed all the office updates.

    Thanks

Make sure the Analysis pack add-ins are installed. I think that the VBA one is the one needed but it may be reliant on the standard pack as well. Go to Tools>Add-Ins and see if the tick box is ticked for them

    Mr TechMonkey

I would like to say THANKYOU VERY MUCH. You eased my increasingly BIG headache.

Why the Hell is there not one scrap of info in the whole of office or on the support webiste that explains why that problem occurs, especially when it's such a simple fix?

Anyway, not I can get on with creating my random passwords.

Took us about 3 weeks to track that down for a teacher. Yep, all the documentations assumes that it is installed by default, all Office help does the same. I think we only managed to trace it because we found a tip to reinstall the pack if something goes wrong and that was when we foudn it wasn't actually ticked.

Glad to be of help though
