Ghost Packages
Hi All,
I'm currently trying to create a ghost package which I need to deploy next term. I'm using AI Snapshoot (part of Ghost Version 8.0) to create an .exe package. For some reason the permissions I've set against certain files are not being picked up. We I deploy the package on classroom PC the modify permissions are missing.
Does anyone have any ideas.
ThanksMichael.

Hi,
Ghost does not store permissions when it creates a snap shot and so can not deploy them with a package. I taked to a guy about this at bett and he just tryed to sell me a different product. In the end I got around it by adding a cacls command in a login script and login the machines on and off.

Re: Ghost Packages
I found that you can edit a Ghost package to have it run a script on completion of the install (which can be included in the package) This would be the ideal place to run cacls from.
