Default Open Office Calc - Drop Down Selections

Hello,

I have created a spreadsheet using Open Office Calc. Now I have it so you can select from a drop down list "Yes" or "No" and I wanted to know how I would do it so in a cell I would be able to calculate the number of yeses from certain cells.
