    Cubase 7

Where does this store settings such as the devices setup settings?

I need to ensure that once set the settings with persist between users (mandatory profiles for teachers and students which are wiped on log off) presumably these are stored in the roaming appdata due to the fact these settings aren't sticking, but which file?

We're Cubase 7 with an M-Audio audio interface and midi keyboard, so it needs to ensure the settings for seeing these devices stays the same.

    Hi,

I wondered if you got this sorted in the end... We are currently trying, unsuccessfully, to provide a consistent interface for the kids, automating inputs and outputs etc but getting nowhere. Did you have any joy in the end?

    Cubase 7

Used to be a case (in 5, last ver I used) of saving as a template, then educating kids to pick the right template from the dialogue which appears after file > new / on load... after creating on one PC, copy the template out to the rest. Device settings and IO routing are all set and saved in the project/template. Can go to the lengths of setting up predefined fx presets, desk channel input labels, predefined instruments auto loaded etc.

    A la http://www.soundonsound.com/sos/oct1...nique-1010.htm

Nb: if the stock templates don't show up before you start on the above, cubase wasn't installed for all users. During install process hit customise and tick the box to install for all users.
