Smart Notebook slow to close.

When you close smart notebook it takes a long time to close, it should be instant.
I've tried uninstalling smartboard software and reinstalling latest version but still have same problem.
We have 6 other machines which are setup the same running the same software and they don't have this problem.
We are running Windows XP, Dell Vostro 200 with intel chipset and sophos anti-virus.

Has anyone had the same problem?

Maybe it's trying to write to something that's in use/locked elsewhere? I'm not that familiar with the smartboard software (our ratio of smartboards to promethean boards is something like 1:30!) but it could just be something on a share that's now unavailable.

I've seen this on installs that had the "join the smart tech help improve thingy " enabled and then it tries to phone home and fails due to proxy server issues.

I have this and it's something to do with "language setup" not closing properly (or not even running properly after initial setup)

Never got round to sorting it - you have to do an "end now" thing with it

if you go into the options of Notebook, there is one to "send back information to SMART Technologies Inc" (I cantg remember the exact wording)

Make sure that you dont send the info back, and it will close nice and quickly. Had this on a few staff laptops recently

The setting was already switched off. So no difference.

Tried all the solutions in this thread still slow any other ideas ?
