    ActivPrimary 3 and windows 7

Does anyone use this? I have just upgraded a laptop to Win 7 and now I cannot get the resources to show whatever I do.
The path given is C:\Docs and settings\All users\Docs\ActivSoftware\ActivPrimary3 which seems right but they just dont appear. Searching for them sometimes works and sometimes doesnt.
    Can anyone advise?

I think it might be the path. I don't think Windows 7 has a docs and settings folder. The path should be something like. C:\Users\Public\Documents\ActiveSoftware\ActivePri mary3

Aha - of course - that makes sense! Just couldn't see it. Will have a look tomorrow. Thanks so much, @bladedanny

That's correct. If you look in each user's Documents, there should be an .ini file (top of my head). Open it up in Notepad and do a Edit > Replace to save time!

    I had this last week...

In the activprimary software, you get the bar at the bottom.. There were a few buttons to click (small ones) and one of them let you navigate to a folder.. Had to do that with each resource, once added.. They stayed.

No idea what happened or how it happened.

Put a copy of the resources on a network share.
Send out a memo on how to do it.
    No comebacks, everyone happy.

I think it's simply because ActivPrimary 3 is so old and is hard coded for C:\Documents and Settings\ rather than C:\Users. ActivInspire is a much better product and doesn't have this issue on Win 7.

This happens when a user moves from xp to win7 and the profile still points to the document and settings folder. Do a search for APSettings3.ini in the users ActivPrimary3 folder and just delete it. A new APSettings3.ini file will be made when they next start ActivPrimary.

I just logged on as them and changed the path to the resources - seems to have worked.
