MIT App Inventor Silent Install
I need to install MIT App Inventor on our ICT department PCs and have been unable to find a way to silently install the package with the installer from the website. Does anyone know how to perform a silent installation or have a silent/unattended package to hand?

I'm sorry, I don't follow. You don't seemed to have actually run the EXE installer file in the script

I haven't. I've transplanted from an install on one computer to another. It doesn't have any dependencies , if the files are in that location it will work.

So I just have to copy the installed directory to all the required PCs?
I'll give that a try when I'm back in the office. Thanks

You can run the installer straight from a share by specifying /S eg:
It MUST be a capital S!!!! Lowercase does nothing! Once it is installed I copy a modified run-emulator.bat across to the client to replace the default one. Can all be done on 2 lines of a batch file. This is how I rolled it out anyway

I used the silent install as above. Thanks (post thanked)
Here is a link to the script I used to deploy using group policy on startup. Hope that helps others install this software.
On slightly different note. Did you make the students create there own google accounts or use a generic school one or ??

Our Head of ICT, signed up for Google Education for Schools and issued the accounts to the students themselves. I believe they can be created quite easily with a SIMS export.

We let the students create their own Google account in their ICT lessons (unless they already had one). Doesn't seem to have caused any issues (that I know of)
