IT Services Manager Springfields Academy Calne

Can't find a URL for it but the local freebie newspaper (Wiltshire Star) just dropped through our letterbox and it carries a large job advertisement for The Springfields Academy in Calne Wiltshire. No mention of this vacancy on the schools website.

First on the list is a Full Time IT Services Manager Salary circa £33 - £37K. Shortlist closes Monday 9th Jan 2012 for someone to start ASAP. Other 2 jobs are Care.

I got the pack e-mailed to me last night for this. Looks interesting, but the job description was a little vague. They seem to have a lot of focus on Macs as well as Windows, and make a big thing about their Wi-Fi. The School appears to house 70 residential students with up to 500 students on vocational courses. It's a School which focus on pupils experiencing difficulties in mainstream schools due to emotional, behavioural, learning difficulites, etc. So it could be an interesting challenge.

I may give it a go; no harm in having a look. The prospect of working somewhere that is within 2 miles of where I live making it very appealing but not necessarily the right reason to move job.
