So I have an interview on Monday and I have to do a presentation, I think I have all I need but I wondered what you all thought
The topic is.....
‘Current Trends in IT & Communications.’
This should include but not be limited to: IT support for a geographically dispersed organisation; Extracting best value from IT; and Security.
I thought I would go down the sharepoint route being able to access data from any location having everything in one central place accessible through a webpage.
Also this is not an educational job.
Its for a charity who work in 50 different countries providing Aid to the poor.
Any ideas would be great

The current trend and buzz word would probably be "cloud".
SharePoint 2010 could be good for this, access to company documentation, e-mail, file shares.. added with MS Lync you could have video chat. I would mention ways of video conferencing and such though. You can also have remote desktop launched within SP to a TS session. (MS licensing with a charity = cheap!, machines only running a web browser or Terminal Service Session only need to be low spec!)
SharePoint 2010 can have various different ways of being secured, SSL cert, SSL hardware boxes etc

Remote access is always good, but if you do start talking about cloud computing remember to add the bit about the legalities of storing information especially if you are working in more than 1 country. Quite often the legalities are overlooked by the sales people which in turn means Senior management dont always think about it.
As well as absolute reliance on the internet which can be more than a problem in certain contries.
