Intersting to note "#2: Can the candidate build shareholder value?". I thought it was a very good point. Companies care about bottom-line (who can blame them) so they want the best bang for their buck, so they're gonna want the best of the best.
I guess this point means that on your resume you should have more quantitative data and less qualitative, right?
Doesn't work so well in an education environment, or at least not in my experience!
I guess the equivalent for Number 2 in Education will possiibly how would you make the Head/ICT Co-ordintaor look good :>
With education it is about showing how you can improve the performance of the kids I suppose. Difficult to do really, considering much of what IT does in a school is pretty abstract and divorced from the classroom.
I agree that it depends on your particular industry but the basic fundamentals of what this article are saying still ring true for nearly everything.
