Are you looking for a new and challenging role? Do you want to make a difference to the learning of young people?
Working alongside the school's Network Manager you will have a key role in ensuring that the school's overall ICT provision is accessed by all staff and students, both in and out of the classroom. In particular we are looking for an E-Champion to drive and lead the development of the schools virtual learning environment and ensure that all aspects of the schools management information system are fully utilised.
An application pack and further details are available by contacting:
Applicants are welcome to make an appointment to visit the school prior to applying.
Closing date: 18th January 2010
Interviews: To be Confirmed
THIS ORGANISATION IS COMMITTED TO THE SAFEGUARDING OF CHILDREN AND WILL UNDERTAKE ALL NECESSARY CHECKS. AN ENHANCED DISCLOSURE FROM THE CRIMINAL RECORDS BUREAU WILL BE REQUIRED FOR ALL EMPLOYEES.
I also applied for the Network Manager position that was advertised in December.
If they had offered me an interview, they would know that I could have easily taken on this role as well and saved them a lot of money. When will they learn?
Hope your going to apply for this job then Axe :)
Slightly differing skillsets for that of a 'network manager' and that of an 'e-champion' do you not think?
Saving money isn't always what schools need to do. Getting someone that is right for the job is. The classic 'value for money'.
As for doing both jobs, I don't think that would be possible considering I do a similar role fulltime and the extent of the work is pretty huge. We're not just talking uploading resources, but creating and maintaining the environment, liasing with CL's regarding curriculum resources, getting teachers onboard, providing classroom support etc etc
Try applying for that job, you never know
Wow what a job title but not my cup of tea good luck Axe if you go for it
This isn't the place to moan about not getting an interview. E-Champion's/E-Guides are tough jobs to do in any situation, even tougher when you have NM duties to do aswell......
