Thanks guys for all the useful tips you have given me i really appreciate it.
I've got a prepared 10 min [ which actually lasts around 15 ] presentation that I have given before - no slides just all talking. I'll post it when I can find it......
It's all about ICT within schools.....
Found it - see attached.
Talk about the ECM agenda and how ICT can be used safely etc.
Don't forget to include the way IT can assist the special needs kids - Laptops/Netbooks for those who have trouble writing, (was Alphasmarts), Voice recognition and screen magnifying software for those who can't write or type and those with visual dificulties. Simple PC based games and exersizes to help them learn things which other kids take fro granted. - The list is endless!!!
All the best for the interview.:)
Thank You Mattx for the document it is useful.
By stopping people from going to "bad" sites you help keep them focused on what they're supposed to be doing and cutting out some of the high bandwidth sites means you can make better use of available bandwidth.
Definitely keep the presentation (Powerpoint or whatever) light; I'd guess that the key thing they're testing is the "C" bit of ICT and over the top graphics, colours etc kind of show that you can't do communication ...
Have they set a time limit for the presentation? If so, do make sure you run through what you're going to say and time it - you really do need to do this out loud, it's no good just saying it in your head - and make sure you get the timing right (a bit short is fine; a bit long, less so - you definitely don't want them getting bored).
Treat it like a "real" presentation - finish by asking "does anyone have any questions?"
Thank you guys for all your comments.
