ICT Technician (North Dorset) Gillingham

Hi all found this on the Dorset job website today. Not great pay. I work at one school with 12 classes only 8 hours a week at the moment with responsibilities as below and manage to get most of it done in the time required. (this school has 14) 30 hours? Must be alot of reprographic and administrative duties!

ICT Technician required a.s.a.p. (XS6.2) Salary Range: £15,842-£17,781 pro rata, pay award pending.

30 hours per week in term time, including INSET days. Some school holiday hours by agreement, paid additionally.

Duties include:
maintaining and developing the school’s ICT infrastructure
supporting ICT lessons
supporting the professional use of ICT by staff
maintenance and development of the school website
some reprographic and administrative duties

I'm sorry but is this a post for an IT Tec or reprographics staff, it annoys me that they expect to hire someone with the knowledge to maintain and develop the school’s ICT infrastructure and then have them spend all their time photocopying. It's such an insult.

Having said that £15,842-£17,781 isn't bad for doing some photocopying

At another school I work at because the switch wasnt turned on a scanner the I.C.T Coordinator expected me to do photocopying of four books took me a few hours, such a waste of time.

Some of these teachers do take the p*ss a bit I must admit.
