ICT Support Technician
Required from January 2014
We are looking to appoint a hard-working and reliable ICT Technician to assist with maintaining the school's computer equipment and network.
The post holder will be part of a small team responsible for dealing with faults, upgrades and routine maintenance. The job also involves moving and setting up heavy equipment, installing equipment and associated cabling and commissioning new equipment. No job is too small or too large!
It is important that the candidate has an open mind and the ability to understand and implement new technologies. Ideally the applicant should be able to demonstrate competency in a wide range of skills such as computing, wiring, DIY and Audio/Visual. The ability to manage your own workload whilst being able to respond to emergencies is essential. The job involves using computers on a daily basis so a familiarity with Microsoft software is an absolute must.
This is a permanent variable hours contract with a minimum of 15 hours a week. To begin with the post-holder will work 30 hours a week during term time only. The salary stated will be reduced to reflect the part-time, part-year nature of the role.
