Hi
Not sure if there's a better place to post this but we have a job going here:
Deputy Data and Assessment Manager // Bridge Learning Campus
Moving to jobs forum.
This job is now being re-advertised.
Deputy Data & Assessment Manager // Bridge Learning Campus
I hope you don't mind me asking on here, but who would this person report? The Data Manager? Or does the data manager have additional responsibilities beyond data management?
I'm surprised it hasn't been filled as the pay seems very generous for a deputy data manager! I get paid the same (although am all year round) and don't have a deputy! I'd be intrigued to know (but won't ask!) what grade your data manager was on!
Hi Ecclesbury, thanks for your post.
I too am surprised we've had to re-advertise this job. The job involves doing a level of work that a Data Manager would, hence the pay. We are a campus so collecting data and reporting to parents every other term to 13 year groups is almost a full time job in itself. The Deputy Data Manager will be reporting to me (Data Manager). I guess the role could be called Data Manager and my job title changed but I don't see the point. My job role now requires me to have a close link to SLT and Heads of Departments and developing new systems, something I can't do whilst constantly distributing reports.
If you have experience as a Data Manager already then you would be very welcome to apply!
Thanks for the reply blc.
I've got to admit I'm sorely tempted to apply, but for various reasons it's not suitable for me. I'll certainly flag it up with some other people who I know might be interested.
It's funny actually that I have had a few meetings with our Head recently about how I can avoid spending all my time distributing reports etc and spending more time developing new/more efficient systems. Perhaps I should point her in this direction! Saying that, we are much smaller than blc.
Good luck with the hunt!
