Not a bad salary but it should be about 10k more if based in london
Wes
It sounds interesting but the salary seems a little low for London.
I thought the salary was good considering it only wants 1 years experience.

You couldn't afford the mortgage on a garden shed in London with that salary :P
As stated it’s a great opportunity and salary, those of you who know about the Educational Sector may be aware of the Harris Federation reputation and excellence in all areas including IT.
Its s unique position in the sector to be in a leading edge establishment.
Indeed (Rolls over and pulls the duvet back over his head)!!
The salary seems to be in keeping with most other school roles at this level in london TBH with a years experience
They'll still struggle though against private firms in the city, depends on how fussy they are

This job description looks "broken" to me. One years experience, for a network administrator with *staff supervision experience*. I don't buy it. They aren't sure if they want a technician or a manager, and they've compromised by offering the manager's job with the technician's salary.
Ouch! Thought you were kidding about the salary... that's a senior technician salary outside of London, let alone inside it! I think the reason is the "senior Network Manager" bit, which basically says that the post is actually really just a Senior Technician post, just someone who happens to organise the normal techs as well.
Yes Darms - HarrisFed does have a good rep, and it would be an interesting job - simple fact is though, for a London job, the salary just isn't that attractive for anyone but a normal tech who wants to take half a step up the ladder.
That would be very good on your CV for a younger tech. Well you get a senior IT guy in charge of you and your running a prober network and deploying workstations using images. That why I got the information on it.
I waiting for the invitation to interview now! 8)
