We wish to appoint, as soon as possible, a self-motivated ICT Technician to ensure that, under the direction of the Network Manager, the ICT systems of the school are managed, developed and maintained effectively at our 11-18 Voluntary Controlled, Church of England Secondary School. The post will take responsibility for:
• maintaining and up-grading hardware and software on school networks;
• developing and maintaining the school’s intranet, website and online presence;
• advising staff on the use of ICT and deputising for the Network Manager in their absence.

Any applicants will be required to have previous experience in the position with preference to working in education. We are not looking for a novice ICT Technician and hopefully the pay scale should reflect this. At least good working knowledge of Active directory. For full details please see the website.

Thanks for all the messages, just to clarify...
This is predominantly an ICT Technician role, not a web design post. The role will occasionally involve backing up, managing, fault finding, developing, educating on the school website and school intranet/VLE (both WordPress based). But this role should not involve entering website information/data to either sites. All staff can login and post/edit pages etc..
