9th March 2012, 11:36 AM #2 Out of curiosity, What happened to the last IT team? Noticed both manager and tech position up for grabs. Or just bad timing with handing in notices?
Thanks,
Steve

Hi Steve,
I'm not actually associated with the school.
I'm hoping to apply, and thought I would give others the opportunity too.
Thanks,
Sarah

I agree looks like the whole team packed there bags and left in a hurry. This is the second time this has been advertised. Could be that the previous tech didnt like that the manager was leaving, didnt get offered and interview for the manager position and thought well I am off as well then ; )
Big school, traffic is not great in rush hour in that area of town - having driven around that area quite a bit.
There are a few other IT opportunities in Dorset area which pay a bit more money might be worth looking at.

11th March 2012, 04:00 PM #5 Um...I live in Broadstone if anyone needs info about it.
As posted before, all three of my children went there, I was a governor there and I work in one of the schools below this one in the pyramid. I still know lots of people whose children are there.
No biggie about people leaving - nothing nefarious as far as I know. It may be that the tech didnt get offered NM but I am not aware of that. There are more than 2 in the team anyway, at least one other full -time and a term-time only.
Traffic can get busy for about half an hour in the morning but Broadstone is a very small town so it isnt like London or Birmingham or anything.
I am considering applying as well
