The pays not too bad, When I was doing my apprenticeship I was on £80-£100 all the way though.

Also they managed to get me to stay for another year on the same wage while not going college LOL

Good luck to who ever goes for it.

nice to see someone actually offering apprenticeships, I know a perfect candidate but he lives near dewsbury, don't think it would be too easy for him to get there though by train or bus.

Our apprentice started yesterday, seems keen and switched on and in the words of the Assistant Head he had training with "He performed better than most of the teacher trainees we have had here lately."

May I ask if you have had much interest?

I work for a school in Bradford as their Network Manager & am trying to choose between employing a more experienced techie for 15-17k, or recruiting an apprentice.

Our apprentice started yesterday. I'm really excited about him getting trained up etc.

What are you doing with your trainees/apprentices? Are they literally just shadowing or have you got something more structured in place?

Personally my apprentice is shadowing but we are having a few parts of the day for mini workshop type things.
