Senior Technician Manager
Hours: 37 per week in term time plus five weeks
Location: The Community Science College at Thornhill, Dewsbury, WF12 0HE
Salary: £23,603 - £25,907
We are seeking to appoint an ICT Network Manager to ensure the successful management and operation of the college’s ICT infrastructure and network. The ideal candidate will be a proven network support professional, with strong communications skills, a customer focused approach and someone who fully understands the ICT requirements of a busy secondary school.
Required technical experience is as follows:
Windows Server 2003 – 2008R2, Exchange Server 2007, configuration of servers, switches, managed wireless networks, active directory and group policies. Knowledge of virtualisation is highly desirable.
Responsibilities will include the strategic development of ICT systems/facilities, SIMS management, budget and support team management, as well as maintaining/ enhancing existing resources and systems. A sound working knowledge of SIMS would be advantageous.
Interviews will be held on: Thursday 3rd February 2011.

I used to work there, and must say it's a great place to work. All the staff are very friendly, and they definitely value the ICT support (rare in education!!).
The tech working there at the moment is a great guy too, i helped recruit him when I left.

6th January 2011, 12:32 PM #6 Ah sorry - hadn't noticed that bit. I believe it is still Senior Technician Manager though, can check if you want?

6th January 2011, 12:39 PM #7 Im working in Kirklees as an "Senior Technician Manager" its really ICT manager all other paper work says ICT manager i.e staff badges, pay slip, contract! just the job description that says "Senior Technician Manager" for some reason
