Description: An IT Technical Account Manager (TAM) or Consulting Systems Engineer is required to represent RM to schools in the Dudley area of the West Midlands. RM is the market-leading provider of ICT solutions to the education sector in the UK with over 2000 staff & revenues above £250 million p.a. Since 1999 RM has provided a complete IT solution to over 100 schools in the Dudley district, this includes all network infrastructure, all educational & administration software and all the IT staff.
This is a great opportunity to take a central Technical and Account Management IT role utilising the latest ICT software and Microsoft Networks. You will ensure a group of 20 schools IT systems run according to the SLA, coordinate & lead proactive IT support and project work and act as a technical escalation point to the Customer Support Engineers. You'll be one of 5 TAM's in a total IT team of 20 RM staff. Requirements
MINIMUM 3 years commercial experience supporting multi-server networks with Windows 2003, NT and Active Directory on the server and Win 2000 - XP PC's and Internet / Intranet access and WAN links.
Demonstrable experience in very customer focussed environments, preferably outsourced support contracts working to client SLA's
Advanced organisational and planning skills with experience coordinating support teams in fault resolution and project work
An outstanding customer focus and commitment to delivering high quality solutions to agreed targets
Advanced written and verbal communication with experience consulting to business users, reporting on and documenting IT solutions & services and influencing organisations
Preferably you'll have a degree and/or MCSE. We require a minimum Diploma level qualification in IT with 3 x MCP's, education sector experience is highly valued
Responsibilities
Supporting the Support Engineers in the support & management of single and multi-server networks, servers, PC's & peripherals at various school sites throughout the Dudley area
Respond to escalations from the help desk, investigate and resolve any failures covering software, hardware and Infrastructure problems.
Ensure service levels are achieved and proactive maintenance and change implementation objectives are met. Written reporting on SLA’s and attendance of service & change review meetings to provide technical consultation
Provide consulting for strategic requests for changes to the IT service and manage staff and resources implementing IT project work. Manage SLA targets and any service reporting
Salary and Package
£24,000 - 28,000 salary + Car
5% bonus & upto 5.5% contributory pension
