This looks like a great opportunity, is there an actual figure for the salary?

In this region, it will add at the least 5-10k to your salary if you have the right skills, but even if you end up on the same that you're on now, you will not pay tax, saving ~ 20% and get free housing, no bills, so you can stay on the same salary and still double your take home
Don't ask, just apply. Trust me, 'ana tabib'.

Thanks for your reply Vikpaw. Sorry I didn't see the posts and respond to them, had a hectic few days!
I cannot say exactly what the salary is as it does depend on who applies and their experience. I can say the post is payed on a teachers payscale so that should give you a ballpark figure. Vikpaw is correct in what he says about the other benefits plus we get free leisure facilities (swimming pools, gyms, squash and tennis courts) as well as subsidised food at any of the four community restaurants. All in all I don't think many people would be disappointed in the package if they were offered the role.
Vikpaw - Iwill get round to replying to your email soon. Your feedback is useful so thats for that.

jimmy_2k - the fella that got the job is currently on a plane thats due to land here in a couple of hours! I agree I don't think he will regret the decision to come out here, I am biased as I made the same decision and am loving it. I came back to the UK in the beginning of the summer and while I had a good time everything did seem to be doom and gloom. Don't know when or if I'll ever return to the UK...
