Iím recruiting a Technical Support Engineer with a broad range of both software and hardware support skills for a well established but rapidly expanding Microsoft Gold Partner that specialise in delivering quality infrastructure solutions to schools in the North London / Essex areas.
You will be responsible for providing onsite technical support to their clients as well as being involved with project work, office moves, technology refresh, rollouts etc.
Technically they need someone with a broad technical knowledge (probably to 2nd line support level) which will include Microsoft (Active Directory, Windows, Exchange, Office) , Cisco, VMware etc.
Clearly it will be the soft skills that will set you apart and (clichťd I realise!!) a really positive attitude, 100% commitment to getting the job done and a passion for delivering fantastic service is the minimum they need.
As well as a very positive work environment, in my view there are 2 unique opportunities with this role:
1. They will provide you with the chance to fast track your career. For the right person with the right commitment, ambition and passion you will progress into more senior roles, this might be 3rd line support or a consultancy role. Itís not guaranteed and you will have to earn it but the opportunity is there.
2. To demonstrate their commitment to this, from day one you will get guaranteed training. Clearly it is going to have to tie in with your work, and you might have to do some of it in your own time but they are committed to providing the successful candidate with the training to achieve Microsoft (MCP, MCDST, and MCSE) , Cisco & VMware certifications from day one.
Salary is flexible for the right person and in the region of £17,000 - £22,000 + Travel expenses (and the training!)
This is a superb opportunity to kick start your career, to discuss in detail please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org
