Roving ICT Technician - Northants

We are looking for someone to join our team providing technical support visits to primary schools in Northamptonshire. We need an experienced schools technician used to working in a school environment who is self motivated, able to communicate on all levels and has a good working knowledge of technologies found in schools. Desirable skills as follows:

• Good working knowledge of Microsoft software, especially windows XP\server 2003, office suite
• Able to troubleshoot basic network connection issues
• Ability to carry out everyday tasks such as adding new users, deploying printers, checking backups etc.
• Knowledge of RM systems (Esp. CC3)an advantage
• Own transport essential, as you will be required to visit schools throughout the county
• Working knowledge of the Sims.net suite

The visits are usually carried out during term time, although extra visits may be arranged during holiday periods. There may also be opportunities for cabling work during holiday periods. Although ideally this position will be full time paying circa £17,500pa, due to the nature of the contracts it may be offered as a part time position pro-rata, or could possibly suit a self employed person on a sub-contract basis, terms and conditions tba.
