Our client is a global independent education, health, management and construction consultancy with more than 40 offices world-wide and is part of a £900 million group of companies. They are looking for an Educational ICT Consultant to work in the ICT team with responsibility for leading projects related to educational and technical ICT consultancy. Also to undertake promotional activities including contributing to tenders for future work.

The successful candidate WILL have experience of consultancy for educational academy programmes or “Building Schools for the Future (BSF)” schemes BEFORE implementation, and will be skilled in advising stakeholders, service providers, head teachers and governors etc on the ICT infrastructure outcomes from their specific requirements.



This is a permanent, home based role, visiting clients across the UK. You will not be travelling everyday, but some days will involve extensive travel, including expensed overnight stays, business mileage / company car scheme (details provided at interview stage).

Key Tasks:

Work collaboratively with a range of customers, clients, stakeholders and service providers within government, local authorities, schools and the public sector to ensure set project deliverables are achieved to the highest quality and professionalism in compliance with internal quality assurance standards.
Exercise and promote professional awareness of the learning benefits of ICT and e-Learning throughout all assigned projects by actively encouraging the development of such awareness in others to support effective learning, leadership, management and administration.
Act as ‘’education’’ translator for other professions and client and stakeholder teams.
Produce written responses to bids or parts thereof.
Ensure solutions are integrated into the built environment.
Work with in-house support staff to ensure that services and solutions are always kept up-to-date, documented and standardised ensuring the continuity of the desired quality standard.
Maintain knowledge of all aspects of school organisation, pedagogy, management and leadership.
Be a source of professional excellence for development of educationally lead ICT solutions including production of vision, functional and output specifications.
Work closely with ICT and School Improvement Services colleagues, and wider Unit employees to provide a high quality service to internal and external customers
Establish good and considerate working relationships with all staff in the organisation, demonstrating respect for their particular roles and responsibilities
Make a positive contribution to the development of sub-divisional products and services.

Willingness to be flexible and prepared to contribute to the company in other duties as required

Required academic/professional qualifications, training and experience:



Preferably educated to degree standard or equivalent
Previous experience of education leadership at a senior level
Previous experience of implementing ICT in an educational setting


Salary: circa £50,000 depending on skills



Benefits: approx. 9% of salary per month as company performance related bonus, pension, flexible benefits scheme including health insurance and childcare vouchers etc
