Another interview at last. Not too far and not too expensive to go to. The Uni is massive and explorable. Im so excited to be interviewed and to share my experience with you guys.
Wish me luck!

Bugger missed that advert, would of gone for a job there myself.
Oh well good luck mate.
O yes indeed. Hope it goes well for me.

Fingers crossed for you!
University techie sounds scarey... secondary school teenagers get up to quite enough network mischief...
coping with uni students
However the opportunities for learning about technology will be huge!
Good luck!![]()

Was that with our CV? Hope so
Good luck with it, anyway, Daveyon
Yes, it was. The interview was GREAT. They seemed to like me and said to me that I did very well with the questions they asked. They like the fact that I knew Mac computers very well. By Monday or Tuesday I will be contacted to know if I'm successful or not.
The process was a tour of the work area, a formal test (excel, how to find ip address, how to unblock pop-ups etc...) then the interview

Well done - I hope that you do get it, but if not, onward and upward!
At least we know that the new and improved CV can get you interviews, and once you are there you can perform well.
It's all good![]()
I was happy, very happy. My CV now has values. Once again, thanks.
Excuse my ignorance, but where is the CV you are talking about? I've played with mine a lot and am fairly happy with it but still wouldn't mind a few more tips?

It has almost been three weeks since I did an interview and still awaiting a respond. I called last week to know my faith but they are still figuring out who to employ. I was told that once I have not received a post from them, I stand a good chance of being employed. Is that true? I'm still crossing my fingersand hope I do not get a post from them starting with: "Unfortunately....."

If I were you I'm afraid I would presume that it's a 'No'. Put it out of your mind for now, pick yourself up and move on. You know now that your CV can get you interviews (remember to tweak where necessary) and your interview technique is fine.
So go out there and grab the next opportunity.
Due to economic situation many universities are how shall we say 'rationalising' staff just now so it may mean that they are not going to hire anyone if they can help it.
Well......we would just have to wait and see.
Just got a email and im unsuccessful![]()
