@Axe maybe keep an eye on the weather?
A year (or two) ago, it rained for a while here whilst I was a jobless student... and a quick call to the local flood/fire restoration businesses, secured me a casual job whilst they coped with the increase in work.
Given the recent random weather, there might be some businesses looking for casual staff (think road maintance)

I've finally been given a date for repossession, I'll have somewhere to live until August. After then... nobody will say. Because I 'failed' to get work after being on 'new deal' they've stopped my benefits again. And now that things are going to get so much more difficult, I feel so defeated. I live near Stroud, Gloucestershire. So if anyone wants a good deal on a 2 bedroom house with a big garden...
I have only read the first and last post on this thread. If you you still looking for a job in the Glos area and can get to Brockworth.
The network manager is my old boss, and he is sound. Give it a go, even if it is a stop gap?

Thankyou comedydave. Your advice undoubtedly secured me the interview I attended on Thursday.
I hope it went well too...
Lets hope the interview went well and you get the job so it doesn't come down to that.
However if it does, and you have no dependents, I really think you should consider going back to University.
You will get a loan and a large grant (around £4-£5K), and the loan doesn't need to be paid back until you are back in work and earning a decent amount. You will secure a much better standard of living this way, and also show employers that you aren't sitting around.
Also have you contacted any Autism organisations? (I know they exist). As maybe informing them of your pleight will help you get some much needed press coverage. The 'little' man shouting didn't seem to get you anywhere with the press, however a 'big' man shouting on your behalf might get you somewhere.

Hi Axe did you get the job you went for the interview for? Although I probally can guess the answer?
Not heard anything yet. OFSTED was there, so it'll probably be a few days.
50 odd vacancies for you to have a look at posted up earlier today

Didn't get it.
I really would like to know why.
I've been turned down hundreds of times and I've been unemployed now for over three years. I'm told that my skills and experience are good and that I interview well enough. I apply for hundreds of jobs each week and I've had well over a hundred interviews. When will the madness end?
Ask them, If i dont get a job i always write a letter or give them a call asking them outlining the reasons as to why.
If they dont give it to you oh well at least you tried.
