I was impressed with the offering until I seen the aol.com email address at the bottom of the site.

Is it nearly April the 1st?

    That wage seems unreal!

A network manager, and a Technician post on the same website.

The network manager also has a Senior Tech under him, may want to ask yourself the question, why two posts going in a 3 man department!

    millenium bug of course.

you'd think they would have fixed it after a decade though!

That's not an unrealistic wage for a grammar school in London. My school is close to London and my NM earns near that sort of range.

Think of it this way; you would have a chance to make a very big improvement to their provision! They obviously aren't hard up for money.

As for why they are hiring two at once... perhaps the Manager left and the tech realised they would be massively overworked until the new appointment? I know if my NM left tomorrow I would be working some very long hours until he was replaced.

It may well be that the snr tech has applied for the NM post, I would then imagine the existing tech would move to snr tech and hence create a need for a tech.

Maybe setting up a new IT Department, after the horror of BSF

Could it be a new school?

True, Id much rather go somewhere with loads of projects that need doing in a way so you can sort it yourself!

I agree I'm on 28k in the north and personally don't think 37k is enough for London. If it was 37k+inner London living allowance I might be tempted.
