Requirements

Applying candidates should have the following technical knowledge:

- A working knowledge of PC Hardware with the ability to install, configure and trouble-shoot PC Components to perform minor repairs
- CISCO preferable
- Microsoft server & exchange 2003
- Back-up Exec
- VOIP (advantage but not essential)
- Knowledge of SIMS or MIS (advantage)
- Knowledge of XP and Office Suites
- Knowledge of Virtual Learning

Environments (advantage)

- Knowledge of Interactive Whiteboards (advantage)

Interpersonal & Management Skills:

- Needs to have strong communication skills
- Able to liaise on a daily basis with pupils and a cross-section of staff of varying levels of seniority within the school
- Helping as and when required with staff/students' PCs
- Must know how to prioritise well
- Management of whole school IT Network infrastructure
- Management of one direct report within Department
- Possess an organised, calm and methodical approach to problem solving
