The successful candidate will be required to help maintain our excellent level of ICT support for staff and Councillors at both East Northamptonshire and Wellingborough Councils.

You will be assisting the ICT Support Supervisor and their team in managing the Service Desk, building and configuring PCs and supporting users across several sites.

During your placement, you will be exposed to a number of enterprise technologies such as: Network Attached Storage, Windows XP and Vista, Active Directory 2003, Solaris and Citrix.

We require a student who is eager to learn about and work with the latest ICT technologies and operating systems. You will have an excellent working knowledge of MS Office 2003/2007, a proactive attitude with a commitment to providing a quality service. You will need to be highly customer-focused with the ability to assimilate new skills quickly and be able to troubleshoot complex IT problems.

Own transport and a full driving license is a must as you will need to travel between a number of sites.
