    Looking for work in Teesside area

    I am currently a technician at a school in Teesside. I am looking for work in and around the Teesside/Cleveland area. My main interests and abilities lie in MS server management, and networking but I am quite open to what area of I.T. I work in.

    I have worked at my present employment for over 4 years and am well versed in all aspects of running our medium sized network.

    Our network consists of;

    6 MS Server 2003 servers providing services including;
    RIS/WDS
    WSUS
    Software deployment via MSIs/GPO
    As well as the normal Active Directory infrastructure, DHCP, DNS, etc

    Debian and Ubuntu web servers, virtualised on VMware, providing services including;
    Virtual Learning Environment - Moodle
    Intranet - Postnuke
    Helpdesk - GLPI
    Room booking system - MRBS

    Over 300 XP Clients
    HP Procurve Switches with 1gb fibre backbone, and 10/100 clients.
    3M Digital Signage systems

    I am also responsible for maintaining our schools Joomla based website.

    Almost all systems within the school have been implemented by myself. Since starting here 4 years ago I have almost completely rebuilt our MS server-client environment, taking it from MS server 2000 to 2003, with only a couple of the original scripts still in place. Our OS and software deployment systems have been implemented solely by me, as well as our Debian and Ubuntu based web servers running Linux, Apache, MySQL, & PHP.

    I am also responsible for all of our A/V systems. These include many Interactive Whiteboards and projectors, as well as our 2 main set ups in the 2 school halls with stage lighting controlled by DMX controllers and multi-channel mixers.

    I have completed my CCNA network academy course with commendations in all 4 semesters. I am currently yet to take the CCNA exam however due to it only being valid for 3 years from completion. At the time I had no interest in changing jobs so did not want to pass the exam only for it to expire before I changed jobs. I am currently revising in preparation to take the exam ASAP.

    My interests include music, production and anything audio related. This has given me good experience in music production software, my favourite being Propellerheads Reason. I DJ, play keyboard and I am learning to play the drums.
