Agreed, wasn't it spelled out recently that criticising wages for adverts wouldn't be tolerated?

27th November 2008, 01:36 PM #5 I actually think the wage is adequate for the jobs advertised.
My opinion, if you don't agree, don't reply. I couldn't give a damn if you disagree.

Why would you join a discussion forum?

AFAIK, there is no discussion, the forums are here simply to provide answers to questions raised in the educational realm, the discussions come form users, not the forums. This != Discussional Forum.

It was split from the ad earlier.

27th November 2008, 09:16 PM #10 This thread, that thread, another thread, the fact still remains that the salary is poor for what they are looking for.
There is another job ad looking for a Tech for more than they want to pay for a snr tech.
Schools have IT systems more complex and labour intensive than many top businesses yet still invest less in their technical support than they do in any other area.
How many responses would they get for a head teacher on £25k a year I wonder.

Yes, but this is Kendall and all - I naturally assume the salary for the post includes all the mint cake you can eat?

I did tell the SLT that the money wasn't great but that's what they're offering - I know there isn't any more money in the pot.
My guess is no-one will apply for the senior tech and I'll end up recruiting another trainee who'll stay for 2 years then go on to better paid work. I seem to be a one man training centre of our local university!
