Cheers alan-d I have had a couple of people interested already from edugeeks, they have also advertised in the Evening Mail here although they altered my original add to add information about the school and have sort of made the add misleading by shortening what I had written.

Funnily enough they did that to mine as well - they even shortened the JD - must be an SMT thing
We had some very good IT Techs apply but we were after an AV tech with arty skills It took ages to narrow it down to 4 for interview.
I wouldn't mind SMT changing it but when they advertise for teaching staff they are lucky to get more than three or four applicants, they don't seem to sell the job.
When I first saw this post I was really happy there finally a job of an IT Tech in Birmingham area. But then all doom and gloom I realised its an old job ad.
It felt like the whole world had turned against me.
Come on guys you lot know where the jobs of IT Tech are going in the Midlands. Its time to share. Dont keep them to your self.
